Kaylie Clark, Garden Plain, Kansas, not only set her personal best in the biggest meet of her career, but also became an All-American. Clark threw 43.07m to take sixth place in the javelin at the NCAA DIII Championships last weekend. She also broke her own school record.
The two-sport athlete becomes the third Morris athlete to earn All-American status in the 2012-13 school year. Brendon Foss , Hancock, earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) All-American status in football, and Linda Keller, Hawick, was an NCAA All-American in cross country last fall. Basketball player Emily Mehr , Aitkin, was also a DIII Fifth Team All-American.
