Ten age records and one course record were broken on Sunday's Brian Kraft Memorial 5K at Lake Nokomis. Minnesota R.E.D's Kelly Brinkman broke the women's course record and shattered the Minnesota age 32 record, set by Kim Jones in 1990, as she won the women's race in 16:03. Katie McGregor, whose course record Brinkman broke was third in the race in 16:41, which is also a Minnesota age 35 record. In between those two was a relative youngster at age 26, Team USA's Jamie Cheever who ran 16:38.
The Twin Cities Track Club's Joe Moore won the men's race in 14:20 and his teammate Chris Erichsen was second in 14:27 only a week after winning the Fargo marathon. In third was Run'N Fun's Dan Greeno in 14:29. Full results are HERE.
