If they kept a team score for just two teams, it would be a tie between Team USA Minnesota and the Twin Cities Track Club finishers among the top ten at the US 25K Championships at the Fifth Third River Bank Run in Grand Rapids, MI Saturday morning. If you used race places, TCTC wins by one point.
Team USA Minnesota's Andrew Carlson finished sixth in 1:16:21 and his teammate Ben Sathre was tenth in 1:17:42. Sandwiched in between them were the TCTC's "dynamic duo" of Joe Moore in seventh in 1:16:48 and Mike Reneau in eighth in 1:17:04. In the women's race Katie McGregor was eighth in 1:29:39. Top ten results are HERE. USATF recap of the race is HERE.
If you want to figure out the hypothetical team scores: by race place it's TCTC 7 and 8 for 15 points. Team USA Minnesota 6 and 10 for 16 points. Using only the two teams finishers its TCTC 2 and 3 for 5 points, and Team USA Minnesota 1 and 4 for 5 points.
In New York's Central Park, Team USA's Jon Grey finished 16th in 30:35 in the Healthy Kidney 10K . Results are HERE.
