Twin Cities In Motion has awarded Elizabeth
Miller of Watertown-Mayer High School and Marshal Landrum of Como Park High
School its 2014 TCIM College
Scholarships.
Elizabeth Miller |
Miller and
Landrum were chosen from a field of more than 135 applicants, based on the
strength of their running accomplishments, academic performance, and community
service. In addition, candidates were asked to write a personal essay. This year
marks the 14th year that Twin Cities In Motion has awarded scholarships to the
metro area’s most impressive distance running
scholar-athletes.
"It's an
honor for Twin Cities In Motion to present these scholarships to Elizabeth and
Marshal," Twin Cities In Motion Executive Director Virginia Brophy Achman said.
"The talent and commitment of all our scholarship applicants always amazes me.
We are proud to support high school students in our community and to share in
their hopes and dreams."
