Susan
Loyd of Edina is off to a good start at the USATF national masters indoor championships. She won the women's 55 400m yesterday in
1:13.40. The 400m preliminaries were run
in sections against time. The top three
finishers were in Susan’s section. She
qualified for the finals in the 60m this morning, running second in her heat and
the fourth best time overall. Her final
is scheduled for 10:44 AM our time this morning, which I mention because all races
are being webcast live HERE.
Lance
Elliott of Edina will go in the M40 mile at 1:55 this
afternoon.
Jim
Schoffman was ninth in the M55 400m yesterday.
Thom Weddle DNFed in the M70 3000m.
Donald
Sazima, long-time Central Michigan University track coach, and now a Minnetonka
resident, competed in the M80 pentathlon yesterday – but I haven’t seen the
pentathlon results yet. He’s
84.
