Deatherage Seventh in IAAF Indoor Championships
Jenelle Deatherage ran a season's best of 4:14.27 in the 1,500 at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Spain, but finished seventh and did not qualify for Sunday's final. After the race, Deatherage told USATF's Vicki Oddi that travel woes and the resulting toll they took on her handicapped her efforts: "My race was way too much about how I felt," she said. "It was a rough trip over here."
