The University of Minnesota cross country teams are in Wisconsin for the Big Ten Championships hosted by the Badgers at their new course in Verona, Wisconsin on Sunday.
The Gopher squads will look to build upon 3rd-place finishes at the meet last year.
The Gopher women, ranked #19 nationally, are expected to tussle with #16 Michigan State and #21 Michigan for the conference title. Indiana and Iowa are also nationally ranked.
Gopher junior Stephanie Price, a two-time Big Ten cross country Athlete of the Week this year, expects to be racing in the lead pack on Sunday.

In the men's Big Ten race, #6 Wisconsin and #7 Indiana are the favorites on paper. The un-ranked Gopher men are likely to battle #24 Penn State and un-ranked Michigan State for third place in the meet.
Both Michigan State and the Gophers were ranked earlier in the season.
