Lakeville South grad Shaina Burns leads the heptathlon after the first day of competition at the New Balance HS Outdoor Nationals in North Carolina on Friday. Burns scored 3204 points, 149 ahead of Creekside(FL) HS's Jordan Fields. Heptathlon results are HERE.
Eastview's Allyson Weiss finished fifth in the triple jump . She did it on her sixth and final jump, leaping 11.52m/37'9.5", almost a foot longer than her second longest leap in the competition. Triple jump results are HERE.
