Yes/No: Does Leer Defeat Heath in Boston?

The Visa Championship Series kicked off its indoor season with the Millrose Games last week. The series continues this weekend with the Reebok Boston Indoor Games on Saturday. As one of the few great indoor meets in the U.S., the Reebok meet is stacked -- especially the distance races.

Two former Minnesota high school stars will compete in the mile, so it's time to play favorites:

Y/N: Will William Leer beat Garrett Heath in the mile at the Reebok Boston Indoor Games on Saturday?

Garrett Heath is a former state champion from Winona who graduated from Stanford in 2009. He finished 2nd in the NCAA 1500 outdoors and ended his career as a nine-time All-American. Heath is currently a volunteer assistant at Stanford and boasts a 1500 P.R. of 3:37.57.

Will Leer is Minnetonka High School grad and competed for Pomona College. He won four national titles at Pomona and graduated as one of the best D3 middle-distance runners ever. Leer has taken major strides since college as well - running 3:37.37 and finishing 4th and 5th in the last two USA Outdoor Championships.

To play our game, simply type "yes" or "no" into the subject line of an e-mail and send it to us at DtBFantasy [AT] gmail [DOT] com before 6:00 P.M. CST, Saturday, February 6th. Please put your answer in the subject line of the e-mail and make sure your full name appears somewhere in the e-mail. We will continue to offer a bonus for participants making their debut in Yes/No - a correct answer will be worth two points for any first-time players.

My answer: Yes

The question last week was: Will Molly Lehman run faster than 4:41.69 at the Millrose Games mile Friday night? The correct answer was yes - Lehman was fifth at Millrose running a five-second P.R. -- 4:36.57. Thirteen contestants answered correctly and three are now perfect through three contests.

We'll keep scores for Yes/No for all of 2010, but we'll also note each month's top "answerers." The winners of the Y/N contest for January are: Gloria Jansen, Chad Bjugan and Jessie Schoen, the three-for-three folks.

Good luck and thanks for playing Yes/No on DtB!
