Minnesotans
picked up three more medals at the National Senior Games in Cleveland
Monday—gold for Bloomington’s Dale Berry in the M50 200m, silver and bronze for
Fridley’s Jim Schoffman in the M60 400m and 200m.
Berry, 53,
took the 200 in 24.88, improving on his strong third place finish in the 100m on
Sunday. Schoffman, 60, was second in the
400m in 57.35, a new Minnesota age group record. Jim also bettered the state record in the M60
200 earlier in the day, finishing third in 26.80. That followed a fourth place finish in the
50m in 7.17, just .03 seconds out of third.
Jim won the M60 800 and finished
fourth in the 100m on Sunday.
Elizabeth
Foster, 61, of Minneapolis, finished fifth in both the W60 1500m (7:02.02) and
400m (90.23) on Monday. Paul Zabee, 56, of Elk River, finished seventh in the M55 shot put with a toss of 10.47m/34'4.25".
