Americans dominated the 1500 at the Monaco IAAF Diamond League Meet Friday with defending World Champion Jenny Simpson using a 59.30 final lap to win in 4:00.48. Team USA Minnesota's Gabriele Anderson finished fifth, fourth American, in a three second PR of 4:01.48.
In the final race of the meet, US's Shalayla Kipp ran a season's best of 9:37.23 in fourth place in the 3000 Steeplechase to book her trip to Moscow for the World Championships. Jamie Cheever finished sixth in 9:49.48.
