Minnetonka, Minnesota's Michael Bialick dropped out of the USATF 100 Mile Championships after nearly 12 hours of running. He had been as high up as fifth during the race, but began to slow from an average of 7:39 per mile pace for the first hour and a half to 10:26 pace when he dropped out.
The race was won by Michigan's Peter Hogg, who set a new course record of 14 hours and 25 minutes and 14 seconds, a pace of 8:34 per mile. For more info on the race including split times and photos go to the race's Facebook page HERE.
