Friday Round-Up: Warriors, Gophers, Results

Let's wrap up the week with a round-up of the news ...

Winona State Ranked #22 ... The Winona State women's team entered the NCAA Division II rankings this week. Powered by throwers Jenny Schuler, Michelle Potter, and Alissa Rausch, the Warriors are ranked #22 nationally.

Shuler is currently the #2-ranked hammer thrower in D2; Potter is ranked #8 in the same event, while Rausch is listed #29 in the shot put.

Gophers Head to California ... The University of Minnesota men's and women's teams will send squads to Stanford Invitational this week and compete locally at Hamline. The Gopher women are sending their distance runners west, while the men are sending a mix of sprinters and a thrower.

Results from Carleton ... And, if you're hankering for some actual results to pour over, a passel of D2 and D3 teams raced on Carleton's new track last night.
