The women's Division I race at Saturday's 26th Roy Griak Invitational will feature eight nationally ranked teams, including #30-ranked hosts Minnesota.
The Jack Johnson Gold Race includes #9 Iowa State, #10 Arizona, the defending Griak champs, #11 Washington, #18 Penn State, coached by Minnesota native Beth Alford Sullivan, #21 North Carolina State, #25 Brigham Young, and #26 Michigan State.
In the Griak Division I men's race -- the Merrill Fischbein Men's Gold Race -- the #24 ranked Gophers are likely to face their stiffest competition from #10-ranked Portland State, the only other ranked team in the men's field.
Twenty-six teams total will compete in each Division I race.
The Griak Invitational kicks off at 9:00 with a full day of cross country races for collegiate and high school runners. The Division I races start at 12:20 p.m. (men) and 1:10 (women). Find the complete Griak schedule HERE.
