Wayzata, the Class AA boys' state champions in 2007 and 2008 and last year's runner's up, return to the top of the recently released Minnesota High School Class AA rankings this week after a 28-44 win at the Metro Invitational over former #1 Eden Prairie, the Class AA champs last year.
Edina rose to #2 in the rankings after its win at the Lakeville Applejack Invitational. Eden Prairie is #3.
The top slots in the rest of the state high school rankings remain the same: the Eden Prairie girls still top Class AA --where they defeated #3 Roseville 36-53. Maria Hauger of Shakopee and Aaron Bartnik of Eden Prairie still top the Class AA individual polls.
In Class A, the Perham boys and Adrian girls' still pace the small school pack. Worthington's Mubarik Musa and Adrian's Jordin Kopplow still lead Class A individuals.
