The boys teams from Edina and St. Cloud Cathedral have ascended to the top spots of the Class AA and Class A rankings, respectively, in the latest Minnesota high school cross country polls.
Individually, Cathedral's Elena Danielson has moved to the top of the Class A girls' individual rankings.
The rest of the top-ranked teams and individuals in the state remained unchanged after a busy weekend of racing. The Eden Prairie girls still top the Class AA team ranks, while Marie Hauger of Shakopee and Aaron Bartnik of Eden Priarie lead the large school individual polls.
In Class A, the Adrain girls remain #1 as does Worthington junior Murbarik Musa.
The Edina boys moved ahead of former #1 Wayzata thanks to a runner-up finish to Wisconsin's Madison West High School in the Larry Zirgibel High School Boys Gold race at the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday. Wayzata finished 5th in the meet.
St. Cloud Cathedral moved to the top of the Class A rankings on the strength of its victory in the Class AA division of the Milaca Mega-Meet on Saturday.
Cathedral's Danielson was the Class AA girls' individual champion at the Mega-Meet.
