The field for the 17th annual William A. Irvin 5K is now closed, Grandma’s Marathon officials announced today.
The race, scheduled for Friday evening, June 18 and part of the Grandma's Marathon weekend of events in Duluth, reached its 1500 runner limit less than one week after registration opened on March 17.
The event is the first of three road races held during Grandma's Marathon weekend. Registration remains open for Grandma’s Marathon, which has filled 6200 of its 9500 entry slots. Registration is closed for the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon.
Grandma's Marathon and the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon take place on Saturday, June 19.
