Masters distance runner Thom Weddle took runner-up honors in his age division of the 1500 meters at the World Masters Indoor Track and Field Championships in Kamloops, British Columbia last weekend.
Weddle, 71, ran the distance in 5:45.57. He also finished 3rd in the 800m in 2:53.27, 4th in the 3000m at 12:29.89, and 4th in the 8K cross country race in 38:02.50.
The only other Minnesotan competing in Kamloops, 60-year-old Jim Sheehan, finished 3rd at 1500m in 5:06.68 and 4th in the 800m at 2:27.33.
