The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported today, HERE, that David Eckberg, owner of the company that produces the Stillwater Marathon, has paid $22,670 he owed to the Metropolitan Emergency Services Board and Washington County sheriff's office for services at last year's event.
Eckberg, the owner of St. Croix Events, still owes $7828 to the Minnesota State Patrol, which will be paid early next week, according to the story.
Eckberg is also expected to make escrow payments to the Metropolitan Emergency Services Board and Washington County to secure their services for the 2010 event, scheduled for May 30.
