Here's our next installment of the Miles' Lists -- the comprehensive 2009 and all-time Minnesota boys high school track and field performance lists compiled by Tim and Bill Miles.
Three-time MSHSL Class AA high jump champion Derek Jerde of Chaska tops the 2009 list at 6-10, a mark that puts him in a nine-way tie for the 13th-best clearance in Minnesota prep history.
It's interesting to note that, despite all of Jerde's success in the event, he doesn't hold the Chaska High School record. The honor belongs to Jon Markuson who cleared 7-1 in 1993, tying him with Rochester John Marshall's Rod Raver for the the top mark all-time.
