It was a Minnesota sweep at the Michigan Mile, part of the Crim Festival of Races in Flint, MI, on Friday. Ben Blankenship won the men's race in 4:05.59. Team USA Minnesota's Heather Kampf ran 4:47.27.
Richard Kandie and Elly Sang, Kenyans who run for for the Coon Rapids based Duma Runners Club, finished ninth(4:14.33) and twelfth(4:19.59), respectively, in the men's mile. Team USA Minnesota's Meghan Peyton was fifth in the women's mile in 4:58.02. Full results are HERE.
