After two frustrating days at the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships, the third day was the charm for the University of Minnesota men's squad which saw three athletes earn All-America distinction.
Senior Hassan Mead finished 4th in the 5000-meters, running with the lead pack into the final lap of the race. He clocked 13:42.53.
In the hammer throw, a pair of Gophers placed in the competition. Quentin Mege was 5th with a mark of 212-11, while Micah Hegerle was 7th with 209-7.
