Yes/No: MIAC 4 x 400 Sub-3:20 and 4:00?

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) will hold its Indoor Conference Championships this weekend, hosted by Macalester College. The meet actually started yesterday (Thursday), led by the men's heptathlon and the finals of the women's pentathlon. The competition will be back underway at 9:30 A.M. on Friday with the Heptathlon final. The field events will start at 3:30 P.M. followed by the track events at 5:15. The final day of the meet is Saturday with events kicking off at 11:30 A.M.

In 2011, St. Thomas won the meet on both the men's and women's side. The men eked out a tight victory over Hamline -- for their 27th straight title! -- while the women held a comfortable advantage over St. Benedict.

As always, the MIAC meet will have many exciting events. But we will skip to the final race of the meet with our question this week...

Yes/No: Will the winner in the men's 4 x 400 break 3:20.00 AND the winner in the women's 4 x 400 break 4:00.00 at the MIAC meet on Saturday?

The heat sheets show St. Thomas as the fastest 4 x 400 seed on the women's side. They have run 3:57.26 indoors in 2012. Next up is Bethel at 4:04.09 and Carleton at 4:05.54. In 2011, the winning time at the MIAC Indoor meet was 4:02.30 by St. Thomas. In 2010, St. Thomas again was the victor, this time with a 3:57.02 clocking.

For the men, the top seed in 2012 is Bethel at 3:19.20 followed by St. Thomas with 3:20.04. St. Thomas won the race in 2011 and ran 3:22.71. In 2010, Bethel took first place in 3:18.99 followed closely by St. Thomas in 3:19.19

To play our game, simply type "yes" or "no" into the subject line of an e-mail and send it to us at DtBFantasy [AT] gmail [DOT] com before 5:00 P.M. CDT, Saturday, March 3rd. Please put your answers in the subject line of the e-mail and make sure your full name appears somewhere in the e-mail.

My answer: No

Last week's question was: Will Amanda Smock finish in the top three in the women's triple jump at the USA Indoor Championship. The answer was yes. Smock not only finished in the top three, she won the event. Thirty-four people answered correctly this week and the first place is now held by only three contestants. Dan Vogel, Jim Glazer and Heather Jelen are tied for first with six points. There are ten players lurking just one point behind.

There is a large group of players that tied for the win in the monthly contest. Eight players were perfect in February scoring four points each. The February winners were Vogel, Glazer, Jelen, Bill Atkins, Bill Miles, Evan Roberts, Laura Roach and Mike Henderson.
