Team USA Minnesota’s Chris Rombough and Jamie Cheever will land in the island nation of Trinidad this week as members of the USA team competing at the North American, Central American, Caribbean Cross Country Championships on Saturday.
The event, which features a senior men’s 8K race and a senior women’s 6K event along with two junior races, will be held in Port of Spain. Rombough is one of five USA senior men competing and Cheever is on the five-member USA senior women’s squad at the NACAC Championships.
Rombough and Cheever were selected for the NACAC team based on their performances at the USA Cross Country Championships in St. Louis in February. Rombough finished fourth in the men’s 12K race and Cheever was sixth in the women’s 8 contest.
