USATF Minn. Debuts Awards Celebration

If you've only ever seen the likes of Hassan Mead, Rasa Troup, and Chris Lundstrom whizzing by you at a competition, then Saturday, February 21 at 7:00 p.m. is your opportunity to see them up close ... and slowed down.

That's the night USATF- Minnesota will host its inaugural Awards Celebration honoring the best athletes in Minnesota. Awards for their exploits in 2008 will be presented to the state's top long distance runners and LDR teams as well as to top youth, race walking, and track and field athletes. The ceremony will also honor the state's top officials.

The celebration will be held at Braemar Country Club, 6364 John Harris Drive in Edina, and will feature a buffet and cash bar. The buffet will be free to USATF-Minnesota members, award winners, and one guest of each award winner. Additional guests and non-USATF members will be charged $10.
