Minnesota's high-ranked small college men's teams lost some altitude in this week's coaches' polls. St. John's lost two places in NCAA Division III, while Minnesota State - Mankato fell two spots in Division II.
The Johnnies fell to #7 in D3 after a 3rd place finish at the Willamette Invitational last weekend. The Johnnies had been ranked #5 since pre-season ratings appeared. Carleton reoccupied it's #27 spot from the pre-season poll after falling to #31. Hamline joins the rankings for the first time this season at #35.
Mankato, which had spent the season at #9, fell to #11 in the D2 men's rankings after winning the Maroon II division at the Roy Griak Invitational. The University of Minnesota - Duluth, runners-up to Mankato at Griak, enter the poll for the first time this season at #16.
The St. Olaf women gained a spot in the D3 women's poll, rising to #17. St. Thomas remained #24 in the poll, Gustavus Adolphus entered the rankings for the first time at #34, and Carleton fell out of the top-35 after starting the fall at #19.
For D2 women, the University of Minnesota - Duluth women fell out of the top-25 but Minnesota State - Moorhead entered the rankings at #25.
