Mound Westonka grad and assistant coach, Seth Brickley waited until the end to make his move as he kicked past Dan Greeno to win the men's title in the Victory 10K Monday morning in 30:49. Greeno led nearly the entire race until Brickley surged past him in the final straight to win by six seconds.
In contrast St. Thomas University All American Taylor Berg had a twelve second margin over Megan Thomas. Berg's time was 35:04. Gloria Jansen, 66, set the only age record for the women, running 47:59, breaking Barbara Anderson's old record of 49:41. Doug Keller,55, set the only age record for men, running 35:17 to break Steve Thomas' mark of 35:32.
