Minnetonka High School alum Will Leer grabbed 3rd-place at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the slow-starting, furious-finishing men's 1500m.
Leer's 3:51.63 headlined the Minnesota news from Saturday and Sunday competition at the Des Moines, Iowa meet.
On Saturday, University of Minnesota senior Gabriele Anderson finished 7th in the women's 1500m in 4:17.53.
Prior to the men's 1500m on Sunday, Burnsville High School alum Laura Januszewski finished 7th in the women's 800m, running a swift 2:01.76.
In Leer's final, Winona native Garrett Heath finished 10th in 3:52.80.
