Gopher Men #12 in Latest NCAA Rankings

The University of Minnesota men's track team is ranked #12 in NCAA Division, according to the latest US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll rankings released yesterday.

The Gophers, who were ranked #10 in the pre-season poll, continue to be the top nationally ranked team in the Big Ten. The Gophers are the defending Big Ten indoor and outdoor champions, and host this year's Big Ten Indoor Championships.

Florida State continues to top the men's rankings, followed by Oregon and Florida. The Gophers' nearest Big Ten rival is surprising Indiana at #16.

Texas A&M leads the women's rankings, followed by Oregon and BYU. The Gopher women are ranked #34 nationally, down four spots from their pre-season ranking.
