Impressive team running by Wayzata and great individual efforts by Richfield's Obsa Ali and Bethany Hasz of Alexandria highlighted the Class AA Championships Saturday morning in Northfield. Wayzata scored 53 points to edge Edina(66) in the boy's race. Wayzata's girls team score was 37, nearly 100 points in front of runner-up East Ridge(134).
Ali ran a season's best time of 15:15.2 to win the individual title by 2.2 seconds over Wayzata's Connor Olson. Twin sisters Beth and Megan Hasz of Alexandria went one, two in the girls race in 13:53.1 and 14;13.9, respectively.
