New Site Collects Trove of HS Boys' Track Info

If you're a Minnesota boys high school track and field aficionado, especially one with a statistical bent, I caution you to sit down for the following news.

You see, Wayzata boys' cross country coach Bill Miles has collected, on a single web-site, the annual Minnesota boys' performance lists he and his brother Tim (and for a while some guy named Charlie Mahler) have collected since 1991, their all-time Minnesota high school lists, and complete State Meet results, including those that predate the first MSHSL State Meet in 1923, and those contested by private schools prior to their inclusion in the MSHSL in 1974.

He's also got all the True Team State Meet results in the archives.

Yes, it's an incredible track treasure trove. And, not to sound like an announcer on a late-night TV infomercial, but that's not all ...

Miles is also adding MSHSL Section meet results going back to 1992, the year of their inception, and has plans to add Regional results, going back to 1929 when they were first introduced.

Yep, you'll finally be able to settle that bar bet about who won Section 2AA triple jump back in 1993.

The Cretin high school graduate, who was also a coach there prior to his long tenure at Wayzata, also intends to add results of qualifying meets for the private school state championships as well as for True Team. There are also plans for a collection of conference meet results.

You can find the Minnesota High School Boys Track & Field Archives HERE ... however, you may not want to click to it until you've gotten your work done for the day!
