Strong Women: UMD #7, St. Olaf #12 in Polls

The University of Minnesota Duluth women's cross country team retained its #7 ranking in the latest NCAA Division II cross country poll, released yesterday.

The Bulldogs, who compete at Eau Claire this weekend and will compete for the NSIC title on November 6, are the #3-ranked team in the loaded Central Region of D2

In NCAA Division III, the St. Olaf women are the top-ranked Minnesota team, polling as #12 in the country. Crosstown rival Carleton is ranked #25. The Oles are ranked #2 in the Central Region (Luther is #1); Carleton is ranked #5 regionally.

In men's D3 ranks, Hamline tops the local scene coming in at #20. St. John's is ranked #34. Hamline is the #1-ranked men's team in the Central Region; St. John's is #3.
