Golden Gopher Women Win Big Ten Title; Minnesota Men, Hassan Mead Runners-Up

The University of Minnesota women's cross country team (pictured) won the program's first-ever Big Ten title with a 72-73 victory over Michigan State in Columbus on Sunday.

The Golden Gopher men finished runner-up to the University of Wisconsin 33-65. True-freshman Hassan Mead was the individual runner-up as well. Defending Big Ten individual champion Chris Rombough of Minnesota finished 4th.
