Minnesota Masters Set to Take on the World

A dozen Minnesota masters athletes have made their way to California for the World Masters Athletics Championships which open today in Sacramento.

Kicking things off for the local contingent is ageless Ralph Maxwell -- 91-years-old, technically -- who will attempt to break the world record in the M90 decathlon. Maxwell, a part-time resident of Richville, Minensota, holds both the indoor and outdoor pentathlon world records, thanks to exceptional jump and hurdle performances.
