University of Minnesota thrower Micah Hegerle was named the Big Ten's Field Event Athlete of the Week after winning the weight throw at the Minnesota Open on Saturday.The Kasson-Mantorville alumnus marked a career-best 66-2 1/4, the fifth-best throw in Gopher history.
The Big Ten weekly award is the second of the sophomore's University of Minnesota career.
