Chris Dallager reports that Bloomington's Matthew Rosen won the Youth Boys 800 meter run in 2:00.68 at the USATF Junior Olympics in Sacramento on Saturday. Rosen has been busy at the meet having competed in the 400 and will be racing in the 1,500 finals on Sunday. Lauren Smith of Team Woodbury finished sixth in the Midget Girls 3,000 in 10:59.29, while Shaina Burns of Prior Lake tied for third in heat three of the Midget Grils 100-meter hurdles in 16.389.
