The University of Minnesota's Ben Blankenship won a silver medal at the NACAC Under 23 Meet Saturday in Miramar, Florida. Blankenship ran 3:45.43 in the 1,500 meters. Canada's Olivier Collin won the race in 3:44.45. Blankenship is a graduate of Stillwater HS and a two time Minnesota state track champion in the 1,600 meters.
The NACAC U23 Championships are held every two years in one of the 32 member nations of the North America, Central America, and the Caribbean Athletic Association, one of six regional athletics associations affiliated with the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
