Hamline's men's team and the Carleton women emerged the victors at a deep and balanced Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships today in St. Paul.
Hamline edged defending champions St Olaf 61 to 66 for the men's title. St. Thomas -- the team leader through four scorers -- was 3rd with 82 points. Augsburg finished a program-best 4th with 97, while St. John's was 5th with 101.
Bethel's Dan Greeno won the men's individual title in 25:22.

The Carleton women, ranked #20 in D3, topped #14 Bethel 65 to 91. Three-time defending champions St. Thomas, ranked #23, tallied 94, followed by St. Olaf with 98.
Defending MIAC and NCAA Division III champion Marie Borner of Bethel won the individual race in 21:43.

Very exciting men's race! Top 4 teams were too close to call at the 4-mile mark.
