Team USA Minnesota's Carrie Tollefson will hold her second annual Training Camp for middle and long distance runners from July 10-13. The “performance-driven” camp, which will be held at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, is open to runners in grades 7-12.
Registration closes on June 10 and is limited to 100 campers.
This year, the camp will feature Todd Williams, a two-time Olympian and the 15k American record holder. In high school, Williams won six Michigan state championships, was a runner-up at Footlocker in 1986, was an eight-time All American at the University of Tennessee, and was a 12-time USA National Champion.
"I am so excited to be hosting the second annual Carrie Tollefson Training Camp this summer," said the 2004 Olympian, who represented the U.S. in the 1500 meters. "One of the reasons I wanted to host a camp was to give kids an idea of what it is like to chase your dreams. I feel that I have been in a sport where everyone has an individual goal and it is only up to the person to decide how badly they want to achieve it."
Details on the camp are available HERE.
