The Minnesota men's track and field team won five events and Gopher women broke three school or meet records at the Jack Johnson Minnesota Invitational Saturday.
The Gopher men had victors in the triple jump (Derek Gearman), 600 meters (Walter Langkau), 800m (Eddie Kibira), 3000m (Ben Puhl), and Heptathlon (Dave Meissner).
For the Gopher gals, Dawn Solberg set a school record in the 60m hurdles with an 8.67 clocking, Heather Dorniden established a school school record in the 600m running 1:29:31, and Liz Alabi broke former Gopher Aubrey Schmitt's meet record in the 20-pound weight with a toss of 63-5 1/2.
