Gopher Men Start Off with School Record in Tempe

The University of Minnesota men started with a new school record by Gianlo Ferretti in the hammer throw(68.94m/226'3") in the first outdoor competition of the 2015 season at the Baldy Castillo Invitational in Tempe, AZ.  Two more events were scheduled for the first day of the meet, the men's and women's 1500.  Live results are HERE.  Link to the Video of the throw is HERE.

Our friends North and South of Minnesota fared well in the 1500s:
Canadian Olympian Nicole Sifuentes won the women's 1500 in 4:15.06.
