USATF Club Cross Country Tomorrow

USA Track and Field's National Club Cross Country Championships take place tomorrow in Charlotte, North Carolina. The race pits an interesting mix of national class and regional elite athletes against one another.

A handful of runners with Minnesota ties will compete in the 12th-annual event. In the men's race, former University of Minnesota star Chad Johnson will represent the Hansons-Brooks Distance project, while former Team USA Minnesota miler Ryan Kleimenhagen will race for the Wisconsin Runner Race Team.

In women's competition, Megan Duwell, a cross country All-American for the University of Minnesota last fall, will compete for the Flagstaff, Arizona-based McMillan Elite team.

2010 USATF-Minnesota Team Circuit open men's champions Run N Fun will compete in the event. Two years ago, the RNF-ers placed 15th in the meet.
