Yes/No: Will Houck break course record at Park Point?

Before there was Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, there was a race called Park Point 5-Miler. Running it's 39th edition, Northern Minnesota's oldest road race will be held Friday evening in Duluth. As usual, the Park Point 5-Miler boasts some of the top racers from Duluth and all of Minnesota. Jen Houck and Jeremy Polson will return to defend their titles.

We will focus on Duluth resident Jen Houck with this question...

Y/N: Will Jen Houck break her own Park Point 5-miler course record of 28:30 Friday evening?

Jen Houck is the 2009 Runner of the Year for Minnesota. In 2010, Houck has transitioned from being a top Minnesota runner into a national-class athlete by virtue of her 2:39:02 Boston Marathon in April. She was 17th overall, third American and qualified for the Olympic Trials in this race. Houck also ran 1:15:48 at the 2010 Garry Bjorklund Half-Marathon finishing fourth.

My answer: Yes

The fantasy contest question from last week was: Will Ben Blankenship and/or Aaron Studt finish in the top three in their respective events at the NACAC U-23 meet? The answer was yes. Both Blankenship and Studt came through with a runner-up finishes in their events. Fourteen contestants answered correctly this week.

Toby Hatlevig moved up one spot and is now tied with Jesse Schoen for first place with 17 points. Gregg Robertson and Lori Anne Peterson are in second place with 16 points.
