Wednesday's Results from the AAU JO Championships

Chris Dallager provides Wednesday's results from the AAU Junior Olympic Championships in Norfolk, Virginia,

Medalists:
800 meter Run
Intermediate(birth years 1994-95) Girls Samantha Nielsen(Maplewood) took third place in a personal best time of 2:14.97. Nielsen will be a sophomore and attends Roseville High School.

Long Jump
Intermediate Boys Deshawn Crutch, a junior at Andover High School, took the 8th place medal after a best jump of 6.51 meters (21' 4.5"). His jump was nearly 10 inches farther than his best jump listed on the high school honor roll for the 2010 season.

Finalists
:
J'iana Cager (ICAA/MN Breeze) has the second best time headed to finals after running 13.88 in the Sub-Bantam Girls (2001 birth year) 100 meter dash semifinals.

Shaheed Hickman (Brooklyn Park) has the third fastest time advancing to finals in the Youth Boys (1996 birth year) after running 11.16 seconds in the semifinals.

More results:
Five other Minnesotans competed in the 100 meter dash semifinals. Tylan Brooks (ICAA/MN Breeze) ran 14.40 for 21st place overall in the Sub-Bantam Boys division. Ellie Bedingham (ICAA/MN Breeze) finished in18th place overall following her 14.01 effort in the semifinals of the Bantam Girls (2000 birth year) division. Keylan Jackson (ICAA/MN Breeze) was 21st in the Bantam Boys division with a time of 13.96. Dominik London (Team Woodbury) ran 13.36, good enough for 22nd place in the Sub-Midget Boys (1999 birth year) group. Taylor Anderson (Brooklyn Park) ran 12.12 and was 17th overall in the Intermediate Girls (1994-95 birth years) age group.

Andrew Larson (Woodbury) finished the Sub-Youth Boys (1997 birth year) Shot Put with a 6.73 meter (22' 1") effort and finished in 54th place of 60 athletes.

Nailah Hill (Brooklyn Park) threw the discus 31.69 meters (104' 0") and finished in 22nd place of 58 competitors in the Intermediate Girls division.

Morgan Stampley (Minneapolis) competed in the Young Women's (birth years 1992-93) division and put the shot 10.68 meters (35' 0.5") for 22nd place of 57 athletes.

Evan Klein (Stillwater) ran 2:31.46 and finished the Sub-Midget Boys 800 meter run in 22nd place of 81 athletes.

Jack Herrmann (St. Paul) ran 3:02.68 in the Bantam Boys 800 meter Run and was 73rd of 77 athletes.
