Before the holidays we reported, HERE, that Team USA Minnesota's Jason Lehmkuhle and Gopher alum and former Team USA-er Andrew Carlson would be racing at the USA Half Marathon Championships in Houston on January 18.
It now looks like the pair will have a lot of familiar company on the starting line.
According to the latest startlists for the race, published by Track and Field News yesterday, nearly a dozen other runners with Minnesota ties will compete in the mid-winter long distance racing fixture hosted by the Chevron Houston Marathon and contested as part of the Aramco Houston Half Marathon.
In the men's field, Lehmkuhle and Carlson will be joined by: Team USA Minnesota's Antonio Vega and Josh Moen, former Gopher Chad Johnson, Stillwater High School alum Luke Watson, St. John's University alum Chris Erichsen, and local masters star Paul Giannobile.
On the women's side, Team USA Minnesota's Kristen Nicolini Lehmkuhle, Michelle Lilienthal, and Meghan Armstrong are scheduled to compete as is Chaska High School alum Stephanie Herbst-Lucke, a masters star.
The full startlist can be found HERE.
