Team USA Minnesota's Emily Brown finished 7th at the loaded BUPA Great Edinburgh Cross Country race on Saturday. The Gopher alum clocked 19:33 over the 5.6K course in Scotland.
Kenyan 10,000 record-holder Linet Masai won the race in 19:02, while Ethiopian World Cross Country Championships silver-medalist Mestewat Tufa was second in 19:13.
The race completed a three-race return to competition for Brown who was bothered by a sacrum injury for much of the latter half of 2008. She finished runner-up at the Emerald Nuts Midnight Run 4 Mile on January 31 in New York City and finished 4th at the Antrim International Cross Country in Northern Ireland.
