Registration for the 32nd running of Grandma's Marathon is officially open ...... and as of 8:30 a.m., 2,600 runners have entered the race!
The 26.2-mile race, which has reached its field capacity for 13 consecutive years, is limited to the first 9,500 registrants. As reported earlier, the event's 2008 registration process has been converted to an online format so runners looking to register need to do so by visiting http://www.grandmasmarathon.com/.
“Given that this is our initial year utilizing online registration, it is going to be more difficult than ever to predict how quickly this race will reach its capacity. The best advice we can give to anyone interested in running Grandma’s Marathon is to register as soon as they can,” Scott Keenan, executive director of the event, said in a media release.
