After finishing the Medtronic TC 1 Mile, defending champion Garrett Heath, on his way back to the van that held his sweats, saw a group of the kids from Cedar Riverside Community school.  Heath went over to the kids and they had a conversation about the race, about running, school, etc.  It was clear that Heath and the other runners that visited the school had made an impression. A bond of sorts  Both Heath and the kids had connected through the sport.
