Gopher grad  Barbora Špotakova saved the best for last.  She won the competition and the Diamond League title in her event by throwing a World Leading distance and meet record of 67.99m/223'.76" at the Van Damme Memorial in Belgium on Friday.

News: Mead Ends Season in Zurich; Top Returnees in NCAA DII;

Hassan Mead finishes seventeenth in 13:41.80 at the Weltklasse Meet in Zurich. "Ugly way to end the season. Not the way I wanted to end it but I had some good once along the ride." Mead wrote on Twitter.

Gopher grad Barbora Špotáková continued her winning streak in Europe as she won the Monaco Diamond League javelin on Friday with a throw of 66.96m/219'8.2"  Laura Roesler was seventh in the 800 in 1:59.44.
