University of Minnesota's Alena Brooks anchored the Trinidad and Tobago 4 by 400 relay team to a gold medal at the Central American & Caribbean Championships in Mexico. The T&T team finished in 3:30.64 and qualified for the IAAF World Championships in Moscow. Brooks' Gopher teammates, Te'Shon Adderley(who ran for the Bahamas) and Todea-Kay Willis(who jumped for Jamaica) both placed fifth in their events. Willis leap 6.32m(20'8.75") in the long jump and Adderley ran 2:06.65 in the 800. Full meet results are
